Okay jom ikut saya going down the memory lane? Hihi!
Dulu masa kita kecik kan, (kecik refers to those born in 1991 and before) ingat tak?
Apa yang kita buat masa zaman membesar?
Petang-petang kita keluar rumah. Main basikal. Main tingting atas jalan depan rumah.
Kita duduk bandar pun, kita main congkak juga tau! yang colorful tu.
Tingting pun lukis atas jalan jalan tar pakai kapur putih. Hihi. Comel kan?

In short, we do experience everything in the real world. We touched. We cycle. We fell. We bruised.
We cried. Our moms come and clean the cuts. We got scold when we're playing in the rain.
Ahh those memories :)
But how about the kids nowadays? I observed my cousins, my sister.
They're so young yet they already got their hands on the gadgets such as handphones, iPad & laptop.
I only knew myspace back when I was in form 2.
But my cousins of only 8 years old, they already own a facebook account!
I went to a friend's house. And have a lil chat with her little sister.
'Yaya tak keluar main basikal ke?' Yaya said 'Tak. Yaya dah janji nak lawan petville dengan classmate yaya. Yaya nak marks tinggi lagi dari dia'
FYI, petville is a game on facebook. Okay I played Petville too.
But that was only when I was 18!
This kid is only 8 years old. Aiyoo!
Rugi kan adik-adik nowadays ni?
They tend to spend more time in the virtual world rather than reality.
Jangan pandang jauh. My sister Nabilah, she kept on holding the phone, texting all day long.
Sitting in front of the laptop the whole day, not having the time to learn on how to be a woman.
Leka dengan facebook masa cuti seminggu, then bila start sekolah, balik to the asrama.
Bila masa belajar memasak? Bila masa belajar mengemas?
Reality check, it's not really their fault. It's the technology.
The kids are hardly having much memories to be shared with the future generation.
Take mine as an example. One fine day when I'll be having a niece/nephew, I'll be telling them stories like,
"Mama Pika dulu masa kecik-kecik selalu kayuh basikal laju-laju turun bukit. Masa tu duduk Cheras Jaya. Lepastu kan, kite jatuh bergolek. Kena marah lagi dengan ayah ibu. Lepastu kan, dulu kita selalu main masak-masak dengan jiran. Main tumbuk-tumbuk daun. Panjat pokok mangga depan rumah."
Tapi what would the IT kids nowadays be having to share with their juniors?
Saying that they used to got the highest score in WordSearch on facebook?
Tak seronok kan? Hence I am thankful. That I could enjoy every moments growing up.
Time did not fly so fast back then :)
